BAND SET TO TOUR WITH FLYLEAF IN 2007
NASHVILLE, TN….(11.30.06)…. Atlantic/Lava/Ardent/SRE band SKILLET is continuing to rock hard this fall as sales, radio and media continue to garner the band more success in both the General and CBA markets.
With another great week of sales (over 8700 units sold in their 7th week of release, over 60k total), Skillet currently graces the December cover of CCM, and is also featured inside general market publication METAL EDGE (with cover line) as their smash No. 1 Christian Rock single “Rebirthing” (seven consecutive weeks) is now preparing to take over the Top 10 on R&R’s Christian CHR chart (currently at No.11). Their mainstream single “Whispers in the Dark” continues to get new adds each week at Active Rock radio, this week increasing spins and moving up to No. 31 on that chart with a bullet. The single is currently spinning in key markets including Chicago, Columbus, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Spokane, Little Rock and Grand Rapids.
In addition to the bands’ launching of a brand new version of their official website soon, www.skillet.com, the Gospel Music Channel has just launched the exclusive Skillet “Rebirth” Promotion.
EXCLUSIVE GOSPEL MUSIC CHANNEL “REBIRTH” PROMOTION: Between now and December 20th entrants are being asked to record an amateur video or cover of any Skillet song and submit it to GMC at www.gospelmusicchannel.com. GMC staff will judge the submissions, and participants can host their entries via www.yousendit.com, www.megaupload.com, www.youtube.com, or their own FTP site. One grand prize winner will be chosen by GMC on or around 12/21/006 and in addition to their video airing on GMC, will receive a musical tour of Memphis including air fare for two, lodging, meals, and guided visits to premier music attractions such as Graceland, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Smithsonian Memphis Rock & Soul Museum, and Sun Studios. If the winners are musical they will have an opportunity to record at Ardent Studios, which celebrates 40 years of making music this year. They will also receive a call from Skillet's John Cooper.

In addition, one runner up will receive a Skillet autographed guitar valued at $399.99 and 120 second place winners will receive their choice of one Skillet CD.
