No wi-fi, huh? I guess that means you probably won't get this message in time for December 24th and 25th, but anyway, Merry Christmas! No, I don't play any instruments, but I would love to learn the guitar, the piano, and the violin. And since I'm a writer, I'm considering writing songs. I'm not really a musician, but I think I could string together a few lines for a song. It might sound silly, but sometimes I dream about writing a song with Skillet's John Cooper or the four guys at Jars of Clay. Even though I'm more into novel-writing, those five talented songwriters truly do influence my writing style! Anyway, I'd better go. God bless you. Have a Merry Christmas!
I've heard of Relient K's Christmas album...heard that's it's good. It does have an unusual name, like you said, but I've learned that a lot of the time, it's the albums with strange names that are the best CD's. I guess next year I'll have to check that one out. It's just about too late in the Christmas season to buy another CD now. So, how's it going? Are you on Christmas Vacation yet?
Even if we do the normal Christmas traditions stuff, it's still special, right? Are JOC's and tobyMac's Christmas albums good? Yes! Toby has come out with an unusual yet spectacular variety of songs...the first six tracks on the CD are his, and the last seven are different songs by members of his band, DiverseCity. And now JOC...yes, their Christmas album was even better than tobyMac's! My favorite song off of it ties somewhere between "Wonderful Christmastime" (which is a song written by Paul McCartney, I think) and "Hibernation Day" (their own original). Actually, I turned the TV over to Gospel Music Channel this morning, because they usually show an hour of music videos from 9:00 to 10:00, but this morning, they were showing "Christmas At Union Station." And guess who was performing on there this morning? Jars of Clay! I was psyched! Of course, it was filmed in 2007, the year the album came out, but still, I really, really enjoyed it! I'm kind of hoping they rerun it, because I missed the first fifteen or twenty minutes of it.
Actually, I am doing things for Christmas...both on a personal basis and a family basis. I have a couple of Christmas books I've been reading, plus I've been listening to tobyMac's and Jars of Clay's Christmas CD's. And next week, I get to spend time with our extended family...we'll eat lots of good food and exchange gifts. My family and I have favorite Christmas movies we want to watch this week, including "The Polar Express." That's a classic! How about you? Have any special Christmastime traditions? Yeah, I don't know why I like JOC so much, either. It's weird, I told my mom, that they tie with Skillet as my favorite band, because whereas Skillet is rock and metal, Jars is a diverse range of styles. But I think they shine their brightest when they do pop--like "Closer" and "Don't Stop" from their album, "The Long Fall Back to Earth." Ever heard those songs before?
Hey there...so sorry it took me so long to get back with you! Except for the song "Jesus Loves You" on WOW Hits 2008 (at least I think it was 2008), no, I haven't heard Stellar Kart all that much. Congrats on reaching 200+ comments by the way! WOW Hits 2000 was really good. It has "Gravity" by Delirious?, "New Way to Be Human" by Switchfoot, "Breathe" by Sixpence None the Richer, and "No One Loves Me Like You" by Jars of Clay. Speaking of JOC, how do you know you're a true Jars fan? I don't know about you, but I had an embarrassing and somewhat funny incident almost three weeks ago that let me know I am a true Jars of Clay fan. It was the Sunday church service after Thanksgiving Day. My dad--the pastor--was ministering on the subject of sanctification. When he told the church members to turn to 2 Corinthians 4:7, I hung my head in order to conceal my grin. While my dad/pastor read from the New King James Version, which reads "earthen vessels," I read from the New International Version, which goes something like, "And we have this all-surpassing treasure in jars of clay..." Anyway, my dad went on to say that "earthen vessels" can be considered "jars of clay," and just when I could barely contain my smile any longer, he announced in front of the whole church (and believe me, we had a full house!), "Yes, Kristen, that's where they got their name," referring to the band, Jars of Clay. So, in spite of my efforts to keep my dad from knowing what I was thinking, the entire church discovered my thoughts! But my dad wasn't trying to purposely embarrass me...I know he'd never do that. Looking back, it's sort of funny, and when I meet JOC (have no idea when that will be, but I hope someday), I have a story to tell them! Anyway, I've been on here way, way too long. Sorry for such a long comment. I have a reputation for typing those! Anyway, have a blessed weekend. Chat with you later.
200 comments--congratulations!!!!!! "Two Hands" is a good video, I agree! Hmm...WOW Hits...I have 2000 (that was a classic edition...anyone who has it should totally hang on to it because it represents turn-of-the-century Christian music), 2003, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011. And I'm hoping someone gets me 2012 for Christmas! My little bro has X Christian Rock Hits 2008 and 2009, too. I love various artists Christian CD's...they get the best collections! Ugh...autumn is too long to wait, isn't it? Not trying to complain about that, but patience is an area where God and I need to work on in my life. Well, it is great to know that they plan on hitting the studio to record the album within the next couple of months!
Congratulations on almost reaching 200 comments! You know you're a true Panhead when you reach 150+ comments on the Skillet website. And yes, I'm pretty sure the new album is to be released sometime next autumn. Although I've heard it could be in January or February, I believe Wikipedia.com said next autumn, and that article referred to a Tweet by Korey Cooper, if I'm not mistaken. "Like A Child" is a JOC classic, and I really, really like "Two Hands." Have you seen the music video to that one? I have, both on Gospel Music Channel and on YouTube at my cousins' house. I haven't been a fan of Fireflight very long, either, and I don't have any of their albums...just a couple songs from earlier WOW Hits CD's.
You've seen Jars of Clay in concert?! No way! That is above and beyond cool! What was the best song they performed live? While I haven't seen JOC in concert (although I'm believing the Lord that He will make a way for that somehow, just as He has with the Skillet show next month), I did see tobyMac perform with Skillet on the Awake Tonight Tour back in spring 2010. But that was almost two years ago. Too bad Toby won't make it to the Winterjam Tour...he's really talented. We actually sang his new Christmas single, "Christmas This Year," in church today. So, now that we've discussed our favorites by Skillet, tobyMac, and Jars of Clay, what's your favorite by Fireflight? Me, probably "Unbreakable," although they did a really great job with "Forever," too. If I'm not mistaken, they have a new album coming out in March...excited about that. Anyway, I'd better go. Chat with you later.
Good morning. I don't normally log onto my Skillet account and get back with my friends this early in the morning, but I mixed things up a little today. I have another friend named Cole online, too. You may have already chatted with him. He and KillitwithSkillet13 are like the two biggest "celebs" on this website. So I've chatted about Jars of Clay enough...it's probably time for me to ask you about a new artist, huh? What's your favorite song by tobyMac? Hmm...mine would have to tie somewhere between "Tonight" (and not just because it features John Cooper of Skillet, but that really throws in a really cool twist) and "Suddenly." And then "All In," "Atmosphere," and "Hold On" follow very closely. Well, I'd better go. God bless you.
Trust me, you won't be disappointed with the concert! If Skillet puts on a show like the one they did in April 2010 (the first concert I ever went to!), well...words can't describe how amazing and spectacular it will be! The show I went to featured multi-colored strobe lights, steam, fireworks displays (my favorite was the pinwheel set they lit on "Rebirthing"!), and lots of flame jets! And if your ears seem muffled after Skillet goes off stage, don't worry...that's what happened to me and my family when Skillet exited the arena stage. Our ears actually went into shock! That might sound crazy...even unbelievable, but seriously, our hearing was muffled throughout intermission! At first I freaked out, but then my dad assured me it wasn't like permanent damage or anything! Well, it's late. I wanted to update my avatar and go to Jen Ledger's profile and wish her a happy birthday before I head to bed. I have no idea if she'll see that comment, but I checked Wikipedia, and today is her birthday! Well, gotta go. God bless you.
Hmm...FFH. I've heard of them, and I notice that quite a few people who listen to Jars of Clay listen to FFH. I should check them out...I have some WOW Hits CD's with FFH on them, so I should go dig those albums out from under my bed (where I keep most of my "valuable possesions"). By the way, what does FFH stand for? Do you know, because I don't. "Whispers in the Dark" is both of my parents' favorite song by Skillet, too, and it's probably my second favorite by them. "The Eleventh Hour"...don't have that CD, but isn't that the one the song, "I Need You," is on? That track was on the Greatest Hits album. So you read a lot, huh? Me, too. Although I don't read as much as I used to (Skillet and Jars of Clay are responsible for that...lol!), I do read quite a bit. I like fast-paced Christian supsense mysteries by Terri Blackstock, and more gentle, heartwarming novels by writers like Tracie Peterson, Cindy Woodsmall, and Wanda E. Brunstetter. It's kind of like music...I love the faster-paced, more aggressive style that Skillet offers, but I have a special place in my heart for the diverse talents of Jars of Clay. I talk about them a lot, but I listen to other bands and singers, too. So, have you heard about Winterjam? If so, do you think you'll get to go?
Tell me about it. I love that song. Right now, I am listening to Jars of Clay's Christmas album..."Wonderful Christmastime" is the track currently playing. I got this CD a couple of weeks ago, and I fell in love with it straight from the start! Ever heard it? My favorite song by JOC ties between "Worlds Apart" (that's definitely one of their earliest hits) and "Show You Love" (a ballad, of sorts). Have you heard their Greatest Hits collection? That is such a great album, because it binds their very best together...their very best so far, that is. So, what's your favorite track by Skillet? Mine, "Those Nights." Can't really explain why...I don't totally understand why I like that song so much, but I do love it. Anyway, it's almost bedtime. Chat with you later.
Okay, I didn't exactly mean to come here...I went to your Don't Forget the Non-Skillet Lyrics discussion and somehow wound up on your profile. I was reading your info, and we have so much in common! I love to read...and write, too! And when I'm not doing that, I'm either listening to music or looking around on this website! I'm also homeschooled...lots of the Panheads are, actually! Fireflight and tobyMac are on my top favorite Christian bands list, too. I'm not too familiar with Red, though, although most of the people on this site really seem to like them. I see that Jars of Clay is your fifth favorite band...not many Panheads like them all that much, to my knowledge. But they tie with Skillet as my ultimate favorite band. Do you have a favorite song or album by them?

I like Jesus freak too. Do u like born again?

Okay I'm not good with lyrics but I give it a shot.
I got a question Are the bands you pick are they christian bands?
Dude, Newsboys has a version of Jesus Freak out. Look at tobyMac's playlist and you will find a version of it, too, as well as in DC Talk's old playlist, especially since it came out of those old days.
Have u heard of newsboys?

BTW, I checked out your game. But I really don't know other bands lyrics that much. Do I get to choose the band I want to use?
Nothing really. When do you get out of school for Christmas break?
