I became a Chrsitian, back in 1989. I use to listen to heavy rock and am a old head banger. I was told to leave the music behind, I did and embraced the older music the church had then. I heard Petra and a few others but was made to feel those were not "Good" Christin bands. A few years ago I was in S.F. as a youth worker going to Battle Cry. I heard Skillet, for the 1st time it opened me beyond any worship I had before (at 48 almost 49), all I can say to other my age that try to make other believers fit there mold. Do not let them, God made you to worship Him. Does not matter if it is old Hymns or Hard Christian Rock. I do not feel self down about lifting my hands or even and little old school head banging when I listen to Skillet. Thank you and God keep you folks in Skillet
