My daughter and I could really use the strength and prayers of our brothers and sisters today. She is 10 months old and has had such a hard life already. I am not her birth mother. I am her foster mother, the only mom she has ever known, and have petitioned to adopt her since she is legally free (birth mom left hosp. when she was 2 days old and never returned.) This sweet baby girl has survived being born 3 MONTHS early, exposed to 7 separate drugs, exposed to high levels of alcohol, being born with a grade 4 brain bleed and water on the brain, and seizures at birth. Because of all this, she is delayed, blind, and very very tiny for her age (11 lbs at 10 months). I have been by her bedside through 2 brain surgeries, several hospital stays, and almost daily therapies. On Monday, my petition to adopt her was denied on the basis that I am a single parent, and she was placed for adoption with strangers, strictly because they are a 2 parent family. The state said that though I have been an excellent foster parent, that they feel she is better suited to a 2 parent home. I have raised my little miracle baby for the past 10 months and on Wednesday they took her from my arms. Please pray for her safety, health, and healing. Please pray for my strength and faith, because it is all that I have left. I have hired a lawyer and will not stop fighting for my daughter. Skillet- your songs are on repeat on my Ipod. Whispers in the Dark was once her lullaby and now it is my anthem. God give us the strength we need to get through this and please bring my daughter home where she belongs. Amen.
I am praying for both you and her, my brother has needed constant medication as he has had 2 heart transplants (one at 6 months) so infant medical conditions are non stranger to my family. I pray that you will be returned to your daughter and happily rejoiced, but know that GOd is taking care of her no matter what!

one of the sort of associate pastors at my church was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer very recently. the man has dropped a ton of weight, and its not looking good. We as a church (Of about 3,000 people) are praying in agreement for complete healing, and if you guys could keep Brother Wiley in your prayers, thatd be really awesome.
THanks man, he was an amazing kid and I guess God just wanted him a little earlier than the rest of us, he was diagnosed with bone cancer last summer but it was very terminal and spread quickly. But hes in a better place with God now.
