What is prayer to you? Because to me prayer is a serious time where bowing our heads and closing our eyes isnt important. To me prayer is a time when i can be real with god and confess some things and send up request. Also to me it is a time to talk to him, so many of us, when we pray, we use air fillers(things we say to fill the air) and we dont give god a chance to talk back. Latley i've been praying to god and all i've asked (after my air fillers are out of the way) is just for god to speak to me.
so i've started this to discuss our view points on prayer and to get them in the open

I agree with all of you!
I agree with all of you! Prayer isn't just a time where you ask God for things, like 'having fun today/tonight', or 'to please do this/that', or 'thanks for this, now i'm fallin asleep Amen'. Prayer's time that you spend with God. Tell Him your concerns, your fears, you joys, your sadness (Including prayer requests because He loves you and hurts when you do), anything really. You thank Him for the joys in your life and ask for strength to get through the bad things, but mostly, you just talk! (At least, that's how I pray.)

What I think is that alot of
What I think is that alot of people talk AT God and don't talk TO Him. They just say something like: "Dear God, thank you for this food, thank you for this day, please help youth group to be fun tonight amen." But God answering their prayer is taken for granted. Prayer is a time to talk with Him. Let Him answer back in the things He does in your daily life. This is what we've been studying in Youth group, actually :)
