Future of Skillet.com(Panhead Awards 2012)

Fellow Panheads, Unlike my other discussions that focus on being fun and having a good time, this one is on a pretty serious topic. Skillet.com is more than just a website, for me it's literally my home away from home with my 2nd family.I understand that members come and go and out of the thousands of members that joined this site, only a handful have stayed around to chat and meet new people. I've been apart of this site since day one and I'm one of the few still remaining. The early days of this site were great because everyone was participating, making discussions, making friends etc. And other the next few months more would come not knowing what to expect but excited to talk about Skillet with someone.This continued throughout 2011 and then came the new year.

2012 to say the very least is nothing like 2011. But let's not talk about what's happened, instead let's talk about those who haven't been to experience it. This discussion is about us losing members and hopefully getting new ones. Twenty twelve is also the year of departure according to many members.
Due to various reasons many members have abandoned the site let's go through the list.

Knight-Many will tell you a great friend who they miss dearly he's been gone since January, he said it would only be about a month or two. Well it's July and we haven't heard from him since and I fear never again.

ForsakeNavy-Joined towards the end of last year and quickly showed that he wanted to be apart of the excitement. He was a rising star to say the very least, making the Top Commenters list withing a couple months and frequently participated and got involved in discussions. But then in March the update happened and we've bearly heard from him.

Forgotten Ghost-One of my closest friends on this site atleast until the fall of 2011. Whatever you wanna call him Estaban was a great person with high hopes and dreams. Though he took breaks from Skillet.com he always came back and tried to be apart of things. But in 2012 he announced he was leaving for good leaving a huge void to fill atleast for me.

JesusFreak08-Though she recently made a short return it doesn't make up for all the times she's missed. One of the many frustrated by the update, and because of the old features gone lost intrest in the site. Hopefully that will change soon.

WVPanhead- Though she shows up from time to time has missed alot. Like ForsakeNavy was a rising star willing to be apart of things, fighting for a spot on the TC list. But I believe she was really effected by the update because she lost her account and was forced to start from scratch once again.

Then there are those that got on from time to time but disappeared

Ben Lowrimore-I can't remember his screen name but he was a nice guy with the hugest crush on Jen. We had conversations about guitars quite abit, and quite frankly I miss those talks. He is one that kinda vanished off the face of the earth as soon as 2012 began. But luckily for once Twitter to the rescue we are friends on there and I will try to convince him to comeback.

SkilletFan1-I believe her name was Kenzie, but the bottom line was she was liked by many. By October he stopped hearing from her but made enough of an impact to make it on the very first Top Commentors list and was able to stay on there for a few months even though she didn't get on. Since then she has disappeared off the face of the Earth. If anyone knows where she is please let us know.

NeverBackDown-Not known by many I remember having conversations with him about various things. Even at one point I watched his cover of Yours To Hold on Youtube. Whether or not it's because of the update or just not making any friends he's been heard from maybe once in 2012.

It's members like TheSkilletFan13, JesusFreak08,KillitwithSkillet14, Skilletfanrocker and myself that have made this site into what you see today and we hate to see good friends go. If you stayed loyal to Skillet.com after the update then God bless you but we known that as teens we are growing up and aren't gonna be around forever. So it's our job to encourage people to become new members and build this site for the future. I don't care if it's through the internet or in person if you know a Panhead please tell them to join Skillet.com. Also encourage any new comers to stay instead abandoning the site. But over the last few months we have got new members that get on regularly and are here to Stay like BMAN1998,RitualVladimir, and Snowboarder50 all three great new members who we have to grown to know and love and hopefully will stick around.

Sorry for the long statement but to sum all this up just help us get more active members whether it's finding new members or bringing old ones back please build the future of Skillet.com
