meh, i think I can do it. and its just for the middle-schoolers(the high school crowd is only in youth on wednesdays) so not as much pressure as the younger kids for the most part are only in there cuz their parents make them. so, not a ton of pressure and opens up more chances for me to play in there :D
That's... interesting. o_o Thankfully the bass is one of the easiest instruments to play lol. You slap it, and the sound is so low that you really don't need to know a whole lot of chords.
So here is a scenario that transpired at church yesterday. It involves myself, my best friend, and Steve, the guy in charge of music in my youth group:
Steve: Hey John. You're playing Bass next sunday
Me: I am?
Steve: Yes Kaitlyn and Keith (his kids, and ironically the two other bass players) will be out of town
Me: ...ummm ok.
Best friend: you got this
Steve: Can you play bass?
Me: ummm
Best friend: Yes. He can.
Steve: great! make sure you know youre stuff! bye!
me to best friend: -____-
so apparently I have a week to learn how to play bass. and I wont get an actual bass till wednesday night.
Oh, and another thing I saw on John's Twitter! A fan tweeted him saying how much they loved the song Falling Inside the Black, and he replied telling her she might like the bonus track "Everything Goes Black" .....connection? Or perhaps he's simply implying that the two songs sound similar.
So.... Seth Morrison, on Twitter, has said multiple times that the lyrics in the chorus of Rise say "Rise AND revolution," but now, John Cooper, also on Twitter, stated that they are "Rise IN revolution." Which is it..... O.o I think Rise IN Revolution sounds better, and more grammatically correct!
I thought the part where Jen explains the artwork was particularly interesting, mainly because this is the first time, to my knowledge, that she has talked about it! Gotta love her faith!
