what is your view on baptism becasuse many people, even in the church, they think that when you get baptised you get saved, but to me it is a sign that says i am following the christ and this is a way to let my church family know that.

Actually she was talking about me and Luke's argument :/ and yeah can we please not start this again? because i think i am the only one here who believes baptism is for remission/washing away of sins and the rest of you believe in the 'sinner's prayer' or whatever you call it.

I wasn't trying to start an argument; Vadim asked who or what is Baptism, and I answered his question.

nope

let's not start this conversation all over again. Does anyone remember the heated debate about this in the does suicide = heaven? discussion?

thx CARPETBAKR
than I agreed with you.

Being Baptised is when you are submerged into a pool of water by a Baptist. (person whose job it is to baptise) It symbolizes all of your sin being washed away and welcomed into God's community.

Who or what is baptism?

I agree with you; being Baptised just signifies the fact that you're a follower of God. It's like putting on a hat that says "I LOVE JESUS!" and wearing it every day. You don't have to get baptised to be saved.
