it would explain the story more but i agree with @VADIM it would waste money that could be used to make a different song into a music video or to improve their concert experience
Lucy is not wasted money and time. Skillet could make a great music video for it. Monster is fun but the song Lucy has a deeper message. Our screwed up world needs that message.
no, it's song with out action, and video will be so unpassionate.
Take for example Older I Get video, only 3 m views, it's not intresting. Bet now look to Monster or Hero videos, what you see?, mach action!.
Lucy is wasted money and time.
I dunno...the song is already pretty sad and melancholy as it is, and a Music Video for it would have some pretty powerful sad emotions. it would probably be pretty depressing...idk!
WHISPERS_IN_THE_DARK you know i started a discussion to tell me what it is about (only most of the comments on there is an argument against two people by a normal Generalization)
@BMAN1996 Lucy is about a couple (in the interview it is heavely implied that it is John and korey, but is never clearly stated) that at a very young age gets pregnant. They decide to get an abortion, and after the procedure (as they call it at the time) they are happy, relieved even. But soon they begin to become more and more depressed. They finally go to a counselor about what is happening, and the counselor tells them that the first thing they need to do is stop looking at the abortion as a procedure and more as a death in the family. The couple bought a grave and finally decided on the name of the unborn child... "Lucy" the song is the male in the couple singing to Lucy. This is why I say it is strongly implied that John and korey are the couple mentioned before.
before Skillet even thinks of making one they first have to Lucy they at least have to share what it's about
i have heard some ideas of it but i am not entirely sure if Skillet said it or not (i hate second hand information)
Personally, I agree with *PANHEADGIRLLAURA*, JUSTIN, and NEVERBACKDOWN. Yes, "Lucy" should get a music video. From the first time I heard it, I have always felt touched by the lyrics. Actually, when I first heard it and listened to the words, I mistakenly thought it was a song John wrote about lost love; but in the end, I realized that the song deals with something deeper. The real meaning floored me, and I cried so hard when I listened to it after that.

I think it deserves a vid, but I think that it would be a hard video to make and be relevant, so it's probably not gonna happen
