So, basically, I will post a weekly message of encouragement or teaching. I will try to have one out every Wednesday or Thursday. These have all been written and edited by me, with feedback from friends. After each message is posted, please feel free to comment. I am hoping I can make a sermon out of a couple of these, and if you feel like it is worthy, feel free to say so. (If you don't feel like it is worthy, don't be afraid to say so. I will take negative criticism as constructive, and rework it so that it is better or clearer than the original.)

Sorry I haven't posted one
Sorry I haven't posted one for last week. I have been in a sort of pain (my friend was in the hospital). Anyway, here is this weeks message.
Daniel 7:4
Did you know that the United States is mentioned in the bible? Yeah. Just read the a fore mentioned verse. The lion is Great Britain in the 18th century, the height of its power. The eagle's wings are the U.S., who were just colonies at this time. Here is your history lesson: God prophesied, it happened. 1776, 13 colonies declared themselves free. 1783, independence was won. the wings were ripped off of the lion. A new superpower was created. Prophesied for the end times, it came true. Our (American) forefathers handed Britain an epic, devastating defeat, kicking off a massive chain of cosmic events that will ultimately lead to God's final victory. I don't know about you, but I want to be on God's side. Which will you choose? Time is running out. Your move. The wrong move will lead to you being put in checkmate (your defeat). The right one leads to Satan's checkmate (his defeat). Choose wisely, my friends.
In case you didn't know, I am an American, which is why I used "our forefathers" and put American in parentheses. I challenge each of you to reflect on that verse over the next week. Think of something you can do to show others that God is still willing to save, maybe by using Romans 10:9-10, which is the basic salvation message. Until next week, Sinai Jones.
Can't wait!

Awesome!

BTW, this weeks message will be posted later this afternoon.
Actually, we couldn't all die
Actually, we couldn't all die. I believe in a pre-tribulation Rapture. The Tribulation is split into two parts, the tribulation and the Great Tribulation, each of them 42 months (3.5 years) long.
thanks
thanks
Okay. *You are good at doing
Okay. *You are good at doing this. You should start writing some sermons. :)

ForsakeNavy wrote that, just in case you didn't notice.

that's really good! i like it a lot :) haha Sleeping Giant is a band so when I read that part it's what i think of XD but it's great!
(This is ForsakeNavy's latest
(This is ForsakeNavy's latest message, but I'm copying, pasting, posting it again so that everyone can see it and give their feedback.)
The Day of the Lord is Close at Hand!
Sound the alarm. Let the warriors arise. Let the sleeping giant of God arise and take this world by surprise. The army of the Lord is ready. The battle has started. Giants will fall. Demons will be slain. Enemies will bow at the foot of the Lord. They will confess that Christ reigns in this world. This is our time. Rise up men of God. Have faith! Rise up women of God. Have faith! He gave us victory, we must believe that. We must act on his promises and fight the good fight. Have Faith! Do not fear! God is by your side! He is your shield, your armor, your sword! Stand up and fight! "The day of the Lord is coming, it is close at hand..."- Joel 2:1
I challenge everyone to read their bibles every day this week. But don't stop their. Instead of just reading, act on what it says. If you write, write what stands out to you. It doesn't have to be an essay, just a paragraph. It can be a poem, or a song, or a message like this. But you will be amazed at how well you remember things when you act on it instead of just reading it.
Until next week, Sinai.
Also, I really need people to comment on this. The first message and this one I really want to preach, and I need the feedback.
Actually, I had only one good
Actually, I had only one good friend at church for quite a while. But overtime, I was able to make a few more friends. Oh yeah, I saw the picture of your snake bite. Your photos are really popular by the way(snake photo has ten comments). But I don't recall you telling me that was related to Winter Xtreme. Thank goodness it was non-poisonous!
My Grammar scores were in the top 1 percent on my Achievement test, but I think you have a more polished writing style than I do! Hey, thanks for the prayers! I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. :) I told my mom the other day that there are a few kids throughout the country praying for us. She just smiled haha! And I whole-heartedly agree with your assessment of Skillet.com. :P My parents don't have anything against it, but they wish I would spend less time on it.
Cole loves the name I created for him.....I think he still does. Anyway, just pray that he doesn't fall over the edge of insanity haha!
Hey Julia, I really enjoy talking to you(kind of like commenting on each others' profiles), but I need to put ForsakeNavy's message back to the top of the discussion so everyone can see it. So I'll chat with you later!
Ohh...sorry, bro! And I think
Ohh...sorry, bro! And I think that as long as a person has at leat one friend, as long as that friend is good, that's alright; like, you don't really need a huge group of friends to have fun.
The neigbor who moved in also had a younger sis, who became friends with my younger bro, so we all just kinda started hanging out. OH, and on Winter Xtreme, I got bitten by one of the snakes in the Nature Center there. (A King Snake. I posted a pic of the bite marks) I thought I told you, but idk...
Thanks! :)
1 Peter 5:10 is a good one! And I've been praying for you on that topic. 3.5 years, though?...I'm so sorry...I hope that issue gets resolved soon!
Yes, Skillet.com is friendly, helpful, and awesome! My parents think it's a waste of time...but ahh, but what do they know? ;)
Yea, I did see it! And "Wizard of Wisecracks"? Lol, nice one!
Thank you!!
I'm thinking that I should
I'm thinking that I should copy and paste ForsakeNavy's latest message soon so other people can see it.
My mom babysitted(she still
My mom babysitted(she still does) kids when I was younger. Those were pretty much the only friends I made. Sadly, I keep in touch with only one of the 100 some kids my mom has watched overall. And I've never made friends with a neighbor. How do I know what you did at Winter Xtreme? Anyway, I bet you have a potential future as a writer/artist. I saw the dragon you drew. It's very impressive. :) And I have to remind myself of that verse often. I love 1 Peter 5:10 too! It's very encouraging to me because of the trials my family and I have faced the last 3.5 years. Also, I think joining this site has helped me overcome my introverted personality to some degree. Thank God for social networking sites like Skillet.com! I do have a few good friends at my church. Haha, did you see Cole's description of me on the Best Skillet Fan discussion? He came up with Magician of Memory later though. I call him the Wizard of Wisecracks. :)
And I'll be praying that God uses you in a special way on that trip. :)
Me too, actually. I never
Me too, actually. I never made any friends in Elementary School (Preferring to be on my own) 'till second grade, when a girl my age moved in next door. I've NEVER been on any kind of trip before (Other than Winter Xtreme, and you saw how well that turned out), and I don't even know if I'm going to be that useful for anything. But hey, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength", (Philippians 4:13) and so I'm willing to trust in Him to use me on this trip to help others!
And I know for sure that if you're shy, kids will tend to think you're strange or something, particuarly if you have ADHD like me, and they'll leave you alone. But it's funner to be with a good group of friends!
Yes, I never could figure out how you remember things so well, Mr. Magician! :P
We all know how much you love
We all know how much you love birds. :) I'm the nervous type so I am reluctant to go on a mission trip anytime soon. Being reserved is holding me back from doing many things in my life. *sigh* But anyway, it's fine. The fact that I remembered everything I wrote proves that I deserve the title "Magician of Memory!" :)
I like to discuss birds! :D
I like to discuss birds! :D
Mission Trips look fun! We've already done one to Haiti (But I didn't go; I was too young) and a friend is goin' on a SUMMER LONG mission trip! (I forgot where) and in June I'm goin' to Wisconsin for a Service Trip...sort of a pre-Mission trip.
Ooh...sorry dude...
You're welcome. :) Bible
You're welcome. :) Bible prophecy is one of my favorite subjects to discuss.
Our church goes to Haiti for mission trips. I haven't personally but maybe I will someday... Anyway, the reason that was draining was because Safari quit on me after I finished it the first time. So I had to rewrite it.
Okay...I have NEVER heard of
Okay...I have NEVER heard of any of that before. Thanks for explaining that, and if you think THAT was draining, my friend typed out a full-page reply on her iPod once. 'O.O'
Must be nice; mine doesn't! Although in June, we're having a meeting for an upcoming service trip...and my sis's going to Jamacia for a Missions Trip sometime then, so we do some activities over the summer.
By the way, my youth group
By the way, my youth group continues in the summer.
I almost died while writing
I almost died while writing that. Typing this much on my iPod is draining.
Okay, first of all, many
Okay, first of all, many Christians believe in a Rapture, which is when God gathers the Church(true Christians in the air. There is a dispute whether or not the Rapture will occur before or after the Tribulation. I lean towards a pre-tribulational rapture but I'm not sure. The Great Tribulation is a seven year period. During this time, there will be someone who seeks to rule the world(one world government, currency, etc...) This man(if he is human) is known as the Anti-Christ. Christians will be heavily persecuted during this time as well. If there is a rapture before all this, then we will not experience this Tribulation. But again, no one knows for sure what will happen. This is extremely difficult to explain so I suggest reading articles about it.
I haven't gotten to
I haven't gotten to Revelation yet...and no, what is it?
By the way, we could not all
By the way, we could not all die suddenly. Ever hear of the Great Tribulation?
Not sure what that means, but
Not sure what that means, but have you read any of the prophecy Bible books?
Heck, we could all die right
Heck, we could all die right now.
But let's not think about that...and I wouldn't be able to believe it if God created us in His image, then, suddenly destroyed us one day.
Of course. But no man knows
Of course. But no man knows the day or the hour....
how many times did they say
how many times did they say the world was going to end, and then it was false?
Well, I can't really say..
Well, I can't really say...truth is, i'm not sure what to believe about that. BUT I do know that Jesus will win ALWAYS.
