Inspired Messages for Life

So, basically, I will post a weekly message of encouragement or teaching. I will try to have one out every Wednesday or Thursday. These have all been written and edited by me, with feedback from friends. After each message is posted, please feel free to comment. I am hoping I can make a sermon out of a couple of these, and if you feel like it is worthy, feel free to say so. (If you don't feel like it is worthy, don't be afraid to say so. I will take negative criticism as constructive, and rework it so that it is better or clearer than the original.)

There will be no 2012 Doomsday.

You believe the world is ending this year?

I can't believe we lwt this fall to the 5th page! I think this is a great alternative to Youth Group, since it ends during summer.
Awesome message! It inspires Courage, remakes Faith, and takes a new meaning on 2012 Doomsday. Keep doing this!

Last week may not have gone so well. Here is this weeks message.

The Day of the Lord is Close at Hand!
Sound the alarm. Let the warriors arise. Let the sleeping giant of God arise and take this world by surprise. The army of the Lord is ready. The battle has started. Giants will fall. Demons will be slain. Enemies will bow at the foot of the Lord. They will confess that Christ reigns in this world. This is our time. Rise up men of God. Have faith! Rise up women of God. Have faith! He gave us victory, we must believe that. We must act on his promises and fight the good fight. Have Faith! Do not fear! God is by your side! He is your shield, your armor, your sword! Stand up and fight! "The day of the Lord is coming, it is close at hand..."- Joel 2:1

I challenge everyone to read their bibles every day this week. But don't stop their. Instead of just reading, act on what it says. If you write, write what stands out to you. It doesn't have to be an essay, just a paragraph. It can be a poem, or a song, or a message like this. But you will be amazed at how well you remember things when you act on it instead of just reading it.

Until next week, Sinai.

Also, I really need people to comment on this. The first message and this one I really want to preach, and I need the feedback.

Forgot to add this to this week's message.

I have made my stand and their is work going on in the spirit world. God is moving in Salem High School, and his work has just begun.

Until next week, Sinai.

@Carpetbakr: No. I am a high school senior. BUT I have felt the call into the youth ministry.

Here is this weeks message:
Rise Up and Take Your Place!

"I see a generation rising up to take their place with selfless faith. With selfless faith."- Hillsong United has written many songs that inspire me. Hosanna in the Highest is no exception. This one has touched me more than any other song. I love it. There is power, truth, and love in it. Unlike this world Teens, no, this entire generation has no power, no truth, and no love. Blinded by sin, we are dying. But I see hope. Revival has come to this world, and it is on our shoulders. The next generation must rise show Jesus to the world. Lift up your banner and fight. "Rak Chazak Amats!" My battle cry. Our battle cry! It means, "Be strong. Don't waiver in your resolve. Don't worry about the possibilities!" It means, "God is with you!" We have power that we don't even know about, but we have to tap in. God has flipped the switch. We are his conduits. Stand up. Grab your sword (Bible). Fight the good fight! And DON'T BACK DOWN!

I challenge everyone to say "Rak Chazak Amats!" everyday this week. I also challenge you to make your stand by pulling out your Bible in school and praying audibly for everyone to hear. Who knows, you may just be the conduit for your school's revival.

I pray that this will inspire everyone to stand for Christ in their schools. Until next week, Sinai.

Wow...this is really cool and inspiring!
My Youth Group's Pastor, Erik, would be jealous. :) You're a Youth Pastor?

Any other comments are welcome. I need them to make this into a sermon. (Yes, this is one that I want to preach to my youth group, so... I need to feedback).

Fear + Paranoia = Self Destruction!
That quote is so true. I cannot say how many times I've almost lost it all to this equation. Fortunately, God gave me no spirit of fear, but one of joy and triumph. He also says 365 times throughout the Bible, "Do not fear!" That is once per day! Yet we live in a society driven by fear. I don't want to be that guy. I want to live in triumph. I want to be victorious. God's plan means so much more. Jeremiah 29:11 says, " 'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.' " If that ain't love, then what is. Mark 16:15 says, "Go into ALL THE WORLD and preach the Gospel to ALL CREATION." That is the the Great commission, and it is one of love. I have my orders; I will follow them. But not for duty. I do them for love as God has loved me. A sinner. Amazing how God can love a sinner, yet not allow sin near him. I cling to this knowledge with extreme faith. I call now on those who follow God's commands but seek not his witness to stand up and say, "I will follow God and minister to other's!" "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Revelation 2:7, 2:11, 2:17, 2:29, 3:6, 3:13, and 3:22

I pray that this will inspire a change in this world. Until next week, Jacob L Shelor. a.k.a. Sinai
