to add into John and Kory
to add into John and Kory meeting they weren't even married till AFTER the first album was released. no i am not a stalker fan i just have the first album and in John's thank-you's it says Kory's maiden name (which i can't think about off the top of my head) and says "soon to be Kory Cooper"
okay so the second hand info
okay so the second hand info i heard was true
(also please don't curse on Skillet.com it's not nice)
Okay....but I should be free
Okay....but I should be free to disagree with your assumption. I just handled it improperly.
And I was not implying that
And I was not implying that you were a stalker fan, it was just my narcissism rearing it's ugly head. But seriousy... Don't ever cross me again.
I watched an interview where
I watched an interview where Korey said when they first met. That's not being a stalker fan.(besides, I'm a Panhead) And I appeared angry in my first comment because some people(not you) tend to say it's a fact that songs like Lucy(and The Last Night) are about John and Korey. What's weird about that, mainly in the Last Night, is that it has never even been hinted it was about them. John has literally explained the meaning to that song several hundred times. It just gets on my nerves. Anyway, sorry if I overreacted. I don't want this to transform into a pointless argument. So basically, we can forget about this now, okay?
Your pissing me off. I made
Your pissing me off. I made an assumption. Don't try to crucify me for my lack of knowing about someone's personal life. It's actually creepy that you know when they met. I'm not some weird stalker fan, so don't pop at me when I don't know some minute detail of someone's life.
I've heard many other people
I've heard many other people say without sufficient information(or even when the meaning of the song hadn't been revealed yet) that the couple is John and Korey. It's kind of annoying how other people think they can decide who the song is about. And c'mon, is using the F-bomb in your last sentence really necessary?
Actually that story is from
Actually that story is from an interview. John told the world that. I am the one who implied they were the couple. I didn't know that they didn't meet till later in life. Don't flip the fuck out because I was uninformed on someone's relationship.
John and Korey are NOT the
John and Korey are NOT the couple in the song Lucy! They didn't even meet until they were in their twenties. I doubt Korey lied about when they first met and when their relationship started, which was when she had graduated from college and was ready to begin dating. That's just a rumor that someone began a while back.
Lucy is about a couple (in
Lucy is about a couple (in the interview it is heavely implied that it is John and korey, but is never clearly stated) that at a very young age gets pregnant. They decide to get an abortion, and after the procedure (as they call it at the time) they are happy, relieved even. But soon they begin to become more and more depressed. They finally go to a counselor about what is happening, and the counselor tells them that the first thing they need to do is stop looking at the abortion as a procedure and more as a death in the family. The couple bought a grave and finally decided on the name of the unborn child... "Lucy" the song is the male in the couple singing to Lucy. This is why I say it is strongly implied that John and korey are the couple mentioned before.
