Okay, so I heard that CD's would not longer be manufactured by this time next year...the end of 2012, to be exact. Does anyone know if that's true, or just another rumor? Because if it's really true and CD's will no longer be made, then I really need to know. I suppose that means iTunes will take over...which leads me to another question: Are iTunes available on MP3 players? (Yes, I'm one of those people who still uses an MP3 player...but I love my little 4GB Phillips, anyway!)
If anyone has any answers, I'd appreciate if you'd comment below! Thanks, WVPanhead! ;-)
@JesusFreak17 You can hook you're iPod and MP3 players up into a car. I have an old car, but I bought a new stereo for it, and there is a cable called an auxiliary (aux.) cable that allows you to do it. It's like a headphone plug, but instead of there being a metal part on one end and the headphones on the other, there are 2 metal parts. Some cars come stock with them now.
But I doubt CDs will stop being manufactured any time soon, because not everyone has the internet yet. Like I don't have it at home, I just have it here in college. We also don't have a computer other than my laptop there either. Things like that will keep them around until WiFi is everywhere and free.
You can still find CDs and will be able too. Unless they find someway to make an iPod or an MP3 play in a car, which is really the main reason for CDs these days, they will continue to make them.
Plus MP3s are easier to use than iPods, well, easier than the newer iPods.
I also still use an MP3.
Thanks for your feedback, everybody! I didn't think iTunes were available on MP3 players.
@Tictacthedrumchick: It's nice to know I'm not one of the only ones still using an MP3 player...lol!
you can reformat your music it takes time but it works.
Oh for you people who don't have an ipod you will want to think twice before getting one cuz you will be hooked
I'd like to know too. Like you, I have an mp3 player cause I'm a cheapskate and don't want to spend my money on an ipod touch and then have to buy all my songs all over again on itunes cause Ipod won't take .wma formating
That sounds stupid. I live in the Netherlands and not in America, maybe it;s different there but I haven't heared of it? And the end of 2012 is not so far away? And I also don't have a Ipod or something.
On iTunes you can convert their music to MP3 version.
you can't use itunes with an mp3 but you can use amazon. But have not heard that cds are a thing of the past.
I'm not sure either.
not sure if its just another rumor but itunes are not available on MP3 players. I use iTunes for my iPod Touch and it only works on ipods from Apple. I heard Amazon MP3 should work for you not sure though because I never used Amazon MP3 before.
