    Skillet brings fire to 10-artist, sold-out show Winter Jam 2012

    "Skillet's opening "Whispers in the Dark" was anything but, with loud bursts of sound, flame, flurry and lights following an overture by energetic string players Tate Olsen and Jonathan Chu before the band itself emerged to take up the anthem. Lead singer John Cooper was in a fine mood, bantering with the crowd more than usual between his band's rock forays. On "Hero," smoky jets fired from the front of the stage as well as from columns placed around the edge of the arena floor."
