    Hey Everybody!

     

    It's Jen here! Writing to you to say HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  

     

    It's been a long time since the last blog, and lots has been happening in the Skillet world! In the last few months we've had a European Tour, a lovely relaxing Christmas, and now we're kicking off 2012 with Winter Jam Tour! 

     

    Oh...and most importantly, my hair is red now!!!! ;D haha!  (I fancied a change and changed it a few months ago!)

     

    The European tour was simply FANTASTIC! We met some amazing people, saw such cool places and experienced some of the most amazing fans ever!! If any of you are reading this from the shows in Europe, WE LOVE YOU! Thanks for making our trip so incredibly special! We also say, THANKS FOR ALL THE DELICIOUS FOOD... ESPECIALLY THE CHOCOLATE! :)

     

    We were able to enjoy a couple of weeks off for Christmas, which was great! The Coopers went back to Wisconsin to enjoy Christmas with their family, Seth also went home, and I got to go visit my family in England! I had such a great time, arrived just before my 22nd birthday! (I know im 22!...CRAZY right???) and was able to attend my brothers wedding!! What a great way to finish the year! I hope you guys enjoyed your holidays also!

     

    Now we're all really enjoying Winter Jam tour! This is the fist tour I ever did with Skillet 4 years ago so it's very surreal to be here again 4 years older!! If you get the chance to come to a show please come and say hi!! There's absolutely fantastic artists on the line up and it's only a 10 dollar ticket at the door! Also a lot of us on the tour are reading the "one year bible plan". It's the 'YouVersion' app (http://www.youversion.com/reading-plans/the-one-year-bible) that we're using incase any of you want to join! Also, Kor's gonna use her book club (http://www.skilletbookclub.com/) to talk through what were reading together. So if you wanna read or post thoughts join us with that too!!!

     

    Anyways that was A LOT of info!! 

     

    I hope you guys are doing well!! Hopefully see you guys at a show soon!!

To add to the previous comment, I was blessed to have been able to be a part of the opening of the Winter Jam Tour in Charleston WV. I am so excited about what God is doing and inspiring in His music. This is a tour that has everything. Christian entertainment, worship. preaching and a call to support missions work and those who are putting themselves in the middle of God's will and ministry to reach out and help add to the kingdom of God. Be much in prayer as a church congregation that I have been an interim pastor with will be voting on me tonight to be their new pastor. Amen and amen.

To Jen and everyone in the band. Was so glad that you all are a part of the Winter Jam Tour. I had heard of the band but never heard the music. Awesome! Praise God for the talent each of you have and just keep glorifying Him. At the age of 54 I'm glad that I still have my rock n roll heart. Being a former drummer myself I can relate to the passion that you have Jen. I was self taught, listening to bands like Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, Moutain...etc. And actually did some studio work in Fla. when I was in Bible College and played in a couple of bands. Again, thank you for your committment to our Lord and the truth of His power and grace that renews us day by day.

My family and I saw you guys at Winterjam in Charleston, West Virginia, a couple of weeks ago! Skillet rocked!!!!!!!!!!! I had prayed for probably a year or more to go to my second Skillet show (saw you guys the first time on the Awake Tonight Tour in Huntington, West Virginia), and God answered my prayers! You are all such an inspiration to me as a young believer! As I've said before, keep rockin' out for Jesus!

Hey Jen- saw everyone at Winter Jam performance in Atlanta. The just did a great job & I just enjoyed the performance as well as the other bands who were also there. I appreciate the music that you put out because God has used it help me pull thru a very rough year. I almost gave up on my faith & my life.. God has now restored my heart & I see Him working thru my life as well. I am truely greatful & I wish I had the opportunity to thank each & every one of you while yall were in Atlanta. I pray that God continues to use your music to help others as well as pointing the way to Christ. I am truely greatful & I hope to get another chance to see yall in Georgia again. Much luv from the Father above Zolly ;o)
