In a world dominated by Bieber Fever (it’s a DISEASE!), Katy Perry (are all of her songs about ... um ... adult stuff?), Lady Gaga (I prefer my meat as a steak, not a dress) and too many curse-word-littered artists for me to name, I sometimes wonder if there is any hope whatsoever for the music industry.

“Blah, blah, blah. My heart is broken. This new boy LOVES me! No, he left me. Whatever. I DON’T NEED HIM! Party. Beer. Drinking! A catchy tune for marketing this at 7-year-olds!”

Really! Why is this stuff even popular? Sometimes, I fear that music is slowly dying.

Q: As teenagers, did you always know that you wanted to be in a rock band, or did it become a goal later in life?

A: In high school, I loved music. I started out in band. I didn’t know I would be able to do music professionally one day, but I thought it would be cool to do that. I started writing music when I was 16, though it was not until college that I thought I would give it a shot professionally.

So true! You guys make excellent music! I do wonder though, whether or not music is dead. I only ever listen to the Christian Radio Stations and nothing else because... I listen to the words of the songs! You guys have fantastic lyrics!

He is your biggest (littlest) fan!!! We LOVED the monster! I am so happy he has music he can hang bang to and get a positive message from! My 15 year old was inspired and touched by many of your songs. Thank you for spreading God's word in a really cool way!!!

ok to start off i totally agree with everyone. i used to love that music (Lady Gaga,Pitbull, and everything), but then i found Skillet and they so changed my ways. no matter what situation im in... i listen to Skillet's music and im just fine. i love all of your music and nothing will change that. and all of us can agree that we're worried about the next generations' futures. who knows what kind of music they'll hav and how it will affect them. hopefully people in the future will realize the messages that bands like SKILLET, Newsong, WE AS HUMAN, for King & Country, and MORE are trying to get out to everyone.

Skillet is one of my favorite bands and to me all those STUPID Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga oh and don't forget, that talentless artist called Pitbull and other artists in this age don't do good music.I also worry about music in this day and age and what it'll be in the future. I fear that the future will hold no place for your band and other good rock artists, that the following generation, our children will only have the music of those HORRIBLE singers the world calls "Great artists" today and none of the TRUE GREAT ARTISTS like you. I keep telling my friends that what is so good about the music these days which are all about MEANINGLESS REALLY SILLY LOVE STORIES, GIRLS, BOYS, SEX and PARTYING blah blah blah which are really not true to the heart and emotionless. I keep telling that music about TRUE LOVE, LIFE and GOD which are the real true to the heart songs that also express your deep emotions. Fortunately I know a few guys who listen to music like that. I just can't understand why the media and talk shows etc.... won't publicize songs like yours and other rock music. Do they want music to be meaningless and soulless? Sometimes I wonder what is this world coming to.Anyway I will turn 16 this year and although I am not intending to do this professionally, I also have a few songs in my mind that I want to compose, I'm just having troubles about forming the lyrics (They're all rock songs). I am talented in singing, rhythm guitar, playing the keyboard, violin(little bit) and I am constantly drumming to anything solid and hollow nearby. I really love John's voice. I really wish I had a voice like that. I think Jen's voice is also very awesome. I hope that anyone who was not lazy enough to read my comments agree with my points I said earlier. I also wish if by some miracle I will be able to publish my songs that you guys would take a look at it (especially you skillet) and like it. But I really wish that there would be a new skillet album before that.
