Big news Panheads! Skillet's AWAKE album was officially certified GOLD by the RIAA this week! Thanks again everyone for all of your support!!

Hey Everyone! How's it going?!

It's Jen here, just writing to tell you we've been having such a great summer! It’s been full of fantastic shows and AWESOME crowds!!! (thanks you guys ;) ) We just got home yesterday from playing Creation West and the night before we were in Albany, OR for Celebration fest. The shows were so much fun because the crowds were so wicked-cool!! It really made it special! Also, I have officially decided I LOVE it out west... this weekend was so pretty it might be one of my favorite places in America!!:)

It was Korey's birthday last week!! So we threw her a surprise party! She thought she was going on a date with Doggy (John Cooper), as we rounded up all of her family at her sister's house. Doggy told her he had to stop and ask his brother in law for directions to the date, and so they stopped in Kor's sister's house for what she thought "would only take a second." But instead she found a "SURPRISE!!!". I think we really shocked her!! haha! So the rest of the night was filled with sushi, chocolate fountains, desserts, coffee and games with all the family and friends reminiscing about stories from Kor's past. (It was so fascinating hearing all the different memories! I learned that Kor has pretty much ALWAYS been SUCH a superstar!!) That was a really fun night!

I'm gonna go and do laundry after I'm done writing this blog... :s. If you don't know me at all, I DREAD doing laundry... but seeing as we leave for our tour with Creed tomorrow (woohooo!!!) I figured I should probably get some laundry done. That way I will actually have some clothes to pack!! Haha! Although that's the other problem... following the dreaded laundry comes the awful process of packing!.. I always manage to forget something no matter how many check lists!!

We'll let you know how this next tour is going with Creed soon. I'm really excited. Although, I must admit its intimidating playing in front of such huge bands!! I'm sure God will help me though as he always does:)

Hello!

Ben here! So it has been.. a good year or so since we\'ve written a blog as a band. We are gonna change that and start giving you more info on what’s been going on with us on the road. Yaaaay! :)

Life has been crazy for us the last year! Definitely feel like we\'ve been along for the ride. We\'ve had a lot of amazing opportunities open up for us, from our music being played on the World Series to WWE to the NFL to Rock Band. I dont think I ever thought we\'d have opportunities like that. Honestly, it\'s very humbling to be a part of such a thing. Thanks for your support in getting our songs out there!

This past week we did an iTunes exclusive live Ep that will get released.... someday... haha i have no idea when but i\'m sure in the next 6 months or so. We got to record back at CRC studios in downtown Chicago which is where we tracked the Comatose record. Loooooots of memories from making that record. Got to visit our favorite places to get coffee, Thai food and places to explore. I love Chicago, so much life and busyness. The EP turned out pretty cool so far as well. We ended up tracking 8 songs.. Not sure how many will end up on the release though. But I think they should all be on there. Haha.

We\'re trying to get a good handle on it so that we can give you a bit more consistent insight into the band. The plan is to give you a new video each month. Also, we just introduced a new segment to the podcast called, "Cool Stuff People Give Us!"   If you want to be have your gift featured on it, bring us crazy stuff! Festivals have been amazing so far! Thanks for all of you who have attended! Seriously.. these have been my favorite shows of our career. I think the rest of the band would agree. I think my top fave\'s would be.... Summerfest and Creation East... And Lifest.... and Sonshine.. haha. ok maybe I shouldnt pick fave\'s.. It’s like picking a favorite child... I don’t think your’e supposed to do that.  haha

Ok well I\'m at Starbucks, My office while I\'m at home. I think people think I work there cuz I\'m there sooooo much. There and Target. Actually, I had a lady recently that was at the register checking me out and asking if I was working today..... I was like, "oh, i uh have a weird job..." not really understanding what she was saying... But then I realized she thought I worked there because I go in so much. haha.. I\'ve tried to cut down my visits to a couple times a week. :)
